You can feel joy again.

Therapy for postpartum depression & postpartum anxiety.

Washington and Florida.

Having a baby feels like you are in survival mode 24/7…

You feel overwhelmed, anxious and exhausted. Your brain is foggy. You can’t remember if you had lunch or even showered. You feel like you’re all over the place.

Baby cries and you can’t even hear your thoughts. You don’t feel like yourself anymore. You try to keep up with chores, caring for the baby, the dog, your partner, you…

Can’t even finish the dishes before you are already folding laundry and all of a sudden you are buying something on Amazon.

“Is it supposed to be this hard?” “There must be something wrong with me” you think.

You try to feel joyful and connected with your baby and you can’t. You feel angry and annoyed. You want to sleep. You want to eat a hot meal. You feel guilty for not being more loving. For not wanting to be with the baby all the time.

You look at yourself in the mirror and you don’t recognize this woman. You don’t recognize your body.

You know you are grateful for having your baby. You know you love your baby. And you desperately want a break.

In therapy we will build a safe space for you to have a BREAK. So you can take care of yourself and reconnect with yourself.

Motherhood is hard.

Many times the experience is far from what you expected. And the love for that child can move mountains. That’s why you are here. That’s why you want to get help and feel better.

Because you know that there’s so much more of you than this overwhelming feeling of being broken.

Through our work together you will get the skills to cope with the distress and overwhelm. You will invite self-compassion.

You will make room for the uncertainty of not knowing what you are doing sometimes. In the service of finding yourself and connecting with the other part of you. Your baby.

“I felt like I was breathing enough to survive but never enough to catch my breath”
